Going Live
Until this point, you've probably been using the Test Environment and its included free credits. Once you've configured your rules and rule plans and chosen your submission method, you're ready to move into production.
Understanding Credits and Usage
FraudShield uses a straightforward credit model: one credit per transaction processed. Whether you submit via Batch or API, the credit consumption is the same.
There are two types of credits, Production and Test, each corresponding to their respective environment. Both can be used simultaneously, allowing continuous testing even after going live. Users with the Billing Viewer role can access the Billing page to view remaining credits, while the Billing Manager role can perform billing actions such as purchasing credits or configuring Auto Top-up.
Purchasing Production Credits
To purchase credits, navigate to the Billing page and select the Top-up Credits button. Choose the package that suits your production requirements and proceed through the checkout process. Each package is valid for an entire year and includes test credits. Offline purchases and custom packages are available via invoice by contacting the Sales Team directly.
FraudShield also offers Auto Top-up and Usage Alerts to ensure uninterrupted service. You can read more about these features on the Billing page.
View the Processing a Transaction guide for a step-by-step walkthrough of how transactions flow through FraudShield, or the Rules guides to gain a deeper understanding of the rule builder and how to translate real-world scenarios into monitoring requirements.
