As EGT Digital expanded its payment gateway business, three problems became harder to ignore. First, fraud and chargebacks were increasing alongside transaction volume — the company needed a payment authentication system capable of stopping them at the point of transaction. Second, any new solution had to integrate with existing infrastructure without disrupting live operations; a complex or poorly documented integration would cost the business time and money it could not spare. Third, authentication success rates were non-negotiable. Poor rates would create friction for legitimate customers and erode the trust EGT Digital had built with its merchants.
The Solution
ActiveServer 3DS deployed with full documentation and live environment testing
GPayments deployed its ActiveServer 3D Secure Server solution for EGT Digital, covering authentication across Visa, Mastercard, and other major card schemes in compliance with EMV 3DS standards. The integration was supported by detailed technical documentation and a responsive support team that addressed queries as they arose. A secure testing environment with live data integration allowed EGT Digital to run comprehensive tests before go-live, confirming reliability before any production traffic was affected. Under the PSD2 directive, low-value transaction exemptions were configured to reduce friction for European customers making multiple small purchases, removing repeated authentication steps where the risk profile allowed it.
